While the Wildlife Rescue Center and its grounds are not open to the public on a daily basis, we host several community events and education programs throughout the year.

Nature Tots Storybook Hour

Bring your toddler to hear a tale and hit the trail! Join us for our in-person Nature Tots Storybook Hour on February 7th, 2023. We will read a nature-themed story, enjoy a wildlife walk, and create an eco-friendly craft using nature's art supplies.

TAILS OF THE NIGHT
October 28th, 2023 • 4 pm - 8 pm • Wildlife Rescue Center
Registration required. Spots are limited for this wildly popular event!
Start your fall season off right with this celebration of nocturnal animals and all the creepy, crawly, and cool critters who call Missouri home! Costumed hikes around the lake, campfires, and more make Tails of the Night a yearly family favorite. Explore our fairy-lit nature trail, learn about our nocturnal wild neighbors, and take a behind-the-scenes tour (excluding areas with recovering wildlife patients) of our wild animal hospital.
